Presented by Selkirk & District Community Foundation and the Selkirk Community Renewal Foundation
Coordinated by: Jeannie Whitebird, Jacqueline Bercier, and Kat Marsch
Led by local Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, over 400 students from the region participate in a day of Indigenous storytelling, drumming, and crafts in celebration of Holiday Alley and Selkirk’s deep Indigenous heritage.

Throughout the last decade, singer-songwriter, performer and 3x JUNO Award nominee Don Amero has made it his mission to tell engaging and unique stories, tapping into his rare ability to effortlessly and genuinely connect with his audience. His annual holiday show “Amero Little Christmas” is a sell out every year in Winnipeg - and now it’s coming to Selkirk!

Opening for Don Amero is 15-year-old Austen Croy! Austen grew up in the Interlake and has been playing guitar since he was eight years old. He enjoys playing mostly country and likes to perform for his family and friends.

ANVIL TREE’S STRAW SCULPTURE OPEN HOUSE | 10am-12pm | Selkirk Agricultural Society Building, Selkirk Park | FREE
Anvil Tree is back in Selkirk for the 2nd year in a row designing and constructing another sculpture to be lit on fire! Come and meet the artists and learn about the art of sculpting with straw, and see the final piece before the burn.

With Doug on guitar and Jax vocals and percussion, Double Bourbon Duo entertains audiences by playing various hits from country and dance to pop and rock. Some of the artists they cover are Miranda Lambert, Brothers Osborne, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Pink, Journey and Trooper among many others as well as a large variety of Christmas songs.

Come to hear lived experiences and cultural stories that affirm the capacity and resilience of newcomers and displaced peoples. This workshop style event includes stories from women who immigrated to Manitoba over the years, and a chance to reflect on your own stories of strength and belonging. This session is led by Patlee Creary, Cate Friesen and Amna Burki of Winnipeg, who all work in the field of storytelling to build community and make change.
